As with any new medical device, it can take time for someone to experience the full benefits of having an open nasal passage. Our airway stents are not a gimmick, and it’s important to understand that achieving the full results of our product takes time and consistent use. A significant reduction in snoring can take days or even weeks, as everyone responds differently. Some people may stop snoring immediately, while others may not notice a difference until several days later.

What if I am hesitant to put the stents in my nose?

This is common for all first-time users. After all, we’ve all been told many times, “Don’t put things in your nose.”

Installation & Insertion:

  1. Take the silicone installation tube and insert the pointed end into the longer end of the stent.
  2. Insert the tube until it slightly protrudes beyond the end of the stent. See Diagram 12.
  3. Carefully position the stent at the nostril opening.
  4. Gently insert the stent approximately horizontally, directing it straight back through the nasal passage toward the earlobe, rather than upward.
  5. Avoid directing the tube upward, as incorrect positioning may cause discomfort or pain.
  6. Continue inserting until the umbrella basket is positioned at the nasal entry point.
  7. Never force the stent into the nasal passage.
How do I know I have the stent in the right place in my nose?

You know the stent is positioned properly in the nose when it is inserted almost straight in. You should experience little to no discomfort unless there is a structural issue (i.e., a broken nose, deviated septum, polyps, etc.) preventing the stent from being inserted. If the stent is angled upward during insertion and enters the upper meatus area, it may be uncomfortable. Remove the stent and reinsert it into the lower region.
